This article lists the steps required to create a bookmark in Google Chrome. It also lists the steps to create a bookmark folder.
Create a bookmark

1 | In Google Chrome, to keep the bookmarks bar in view, click Customize (the three dots in the upper-right corner), select Bookmarks, and then click Show Bookmarks Bar. When Show Bookmarks Bar is checked, the bar remains in view at all times. When unchecked, it displays only when starting a new window or tab. | |
2 | Start a new window or tab. | |
3 | Go to the website that you want to bookmark. | |
4 | Click the star at the far right end of the address bar. | |
5 | The star turns blue, indicating that the site has been bookmarked. Optional: edit the Name field. The contents of the Name field displays in the bookmarks bar. Optional: if you have multiple folders, select the folder you want to locate the bookmark in. | |
6 | When you are finished, click Done. | |
7 | The bookmark is added to the bookmarks bar. |
Create a bookmark folder

1 | Right-click the bookmarks bar in an unoccupied area and click Add Folder. | |
2 | Edit the Name field to a word or phrase that describes the bookmarks that the folder will include. | |
3 | Optional: select a folder. To add this new folder at the top, select Bookmarks Bar. | |
4 | Click Save. The new folder displays in your bookmarks bar. | |
5 | To move existing bookmarks to the new folder, simply click and drag bookmark to the folder. |
